I'm a mom of two adorable fur-children and a postpartum doula helping families adjust after birth and coming home with a newborn. I’m originally from Long Island, NY. However, we enjoy the great outdoors and exploring craft breweries and wineries, making it easy to fall in love with the Charlotte area. In March 2020, my husband, fur babies, and I officially made Lake Norman, NC, our home. When I’m not helping local families, we’ll enjoy hiking or camping trips in the mountains or the ocean. I also enjoy reading and have a genuine love for yoga.
The fourth-trimester postpartum period and newborn parenting can be challenging. I’ll provide you with evidence-based options, so you can confidently make informed decisions to meet your needs. Everyone is unique, and together, we’ll create a postpartum plan just for you.
Whether you’re a first-time parent or this is your tenth baby, the journey into parenthood always presents challenges. I’m here to make this transition smoother. My purpose as a postpartum doula is to bring you knowledge and positivity, leaving you calm and confident.
Before training as a postpartum doula and newborn care specialist, I spent ten years working as a childcare professional with infants. During this period, I worked with many families and discovered that out of all the parenting and childbirth challenges, most parents suffered through their fourth trimester, better known as the postpartum period.
The experience led me to discover a growing love for helping families by offering support and care in the postpartum period, a love that continues to grow with each family I assist as a doula. My ultimate goal as your postpartum support is to guide you through this life transition and leave you feeling empowered and confident!
When it comes to doula care, there is no one-size-fits-all solution. As a postpartum doula and newborn care specialist, I'm ecstatic to support families in the way they need it most. My doula services are tailored to the unique needs of each mother, family, and baby.
I’m here to offer you non-judgemental, hands-on support however you need it. I offer both daytime and overnight doula support. During the day, maybe you need help with the baby while you take a shower, or you take a nap while I help you catch up on laundry, do the dishes (and bottles or pumping supplies) or want someone to give you the inside scoop on baby products. Night doula support is an excellent way for you (and your other half) to get a good night’s sleep so you can be more productive the next day.
They say it takes a village to raise a child. Recovering from the birth experience is different for everyone, and transitioning into your new family role can be overwhelming. I’m here to help give you peace of mind that you’re doing a great job and offer trusted referrals, tips and advice if needed.
The months following childbirth are incredibly transformative, albeit exhausting. Doula services and postpartum education can be a lifeline when you need it most. Having an extra set of hands can provide relief enough to avoid "the baby blues," feel a little more like yourself, or even catch a guilt-free catnap.
I love supporting families in and around the Charlotte area, however, whenever they need it, day or night. Here are a few postnatal doula support that I offer that could help:
Newborn care while you catch up on sleep (or shower)
Creating a sleep schedule
Meal prep
Light house cleaning
Night doula services
