We believe wholeheartedly in supporting the family unit as a whole, whatever your family composition. Technically speaking, it takes two to make a baby, and we believe both parties benefit from and deserve high-quality education and support. In fact, studies have proven that the birthing person and the baby have better birth results with a strong birth team: you, the medical team, and your doula/birthing coach.
Unfortunately, more often than not, the non-delivering parent gets into the birthing room and freezes—they're unconfident, unsure and worried for everyone's safety. Although these responses are natural, given that you've spent nine months focusing on the growing belly, they are also a missed opportunity for everyone involved.
Our Daddy Doula services are designed for dads and partners as they prepare for childbirth and the journey into parenthood. We'll give you the tools you need to confidently support your birthing partner and baby in the most meaningful ways, both during labor and postpartum. We want everyone to have a positive birthing experience and a smooth transition into the new family dynamic—after all, the baby is yours, too!
The non-birthing parent is often more worried about the upcoming labor and delivery than the birthing person! We'll help you overcome these fears by teaching you what you can expect and valuable action items to help provide labor support. We'll give you practical tips about identifying and caring for her needs, massage techniques during labor, and more. As a significant component of her life, you are the most important in the room on delivery day. We'll give you the tools you need to be the best birth companion anyone could want. Our informational support resources and educational tools are meant for you, too, because, after all—you're having a baby!
We're here for you whenever you need us, even throughout the postpartum period. As the non-birthing parent, you may face returning to work and resuming a pre-birth routine sooner, in addition to juggling your new role as a parent. We offer postpartum doula support services to help you and your family as you transition into the new journey. From overnight doula stays so you can get a good night's sleep to meal prep and newborn care—we offer a helping hand when you need it.
